Over 1.75 million apps were blocked by Google during the review process, according to the company's most recent security update for Android and Google Play. More than 10,000 automated and manual safety checks are now performed on every submitted app, according to Google, with the goal of preventing real-world harm before apps ever reach user devices. With the addition of hardware-backed signals and in-app prompts, the Play Integrity API, which currently processes over 20 billion checks daily, helps apps protect user privacy while guarding against abuse, spoof devices, and unauthorized access.
